WELCOME TO FOS – CLICK BANNER FOR FORM EXAMPLE

For this challenge, write a poem using the form presented and your fellow Starliters will vote for the one they like best! As this is week 4 of the new FOS, you should all have the hang of it by now - so the form is:

The Narrative Poem -

A narrative poem is simply a poem that tells a story (and one of the Dragon's personal favorites). This form of writing contains all the elements of a good story with clearly definable characters, a plotline, etc., but it does so with all the elements of good poetry, such as attention to rhyme, rhythm, and phonics. Narrative poetry contains a section of rising action, a climax, and a resolution just as would a story. Some examples of narrative poetry are the epic and the ballad, but it is not limited to those forms alone, or to any given form, so long as the content makes for a good story!

Simply write a poem using the form above. The winner of FOS is decided by all Starliters. The Host - Bronze Dragon - presents a new form each week. Challenge ends on Wednesday, May 5th, or upon reaching 15 poems entered.

FOS is a voting challenge - please return at the end of the challenge to vote for the poem using the form that you liked best. Any entries not following the form given may be removed by the Host prior to voting.

Thanks, and Have Fun!
