WELCOME TO FOS – CLICK BANNER FOR FORM EXAMPLE

For this challenge, write a poem using the form presented and your fellow Starlite poets will vote for the one they like the best! The form is:

Trilonnet -

Trilonnet, created by Shelley A. Cephas, is a 14-line poem (thus related to a sonnet) made up of four three-line verses (tercets) and a closing rhyming couplet, written in either iambic tetrameter (approx. 8 syllables) or iambic pentameter (approx. 10 syllables).

Each tercet is unrhymed, thus having a rhyme scheme of abc; however, each subsequent verse rhymes with the corresponding line from the first tercet, either respectively or in reverse order. Thus, there are 2 rhyme schemes for this form:

abc abc abc abc dd
or
abc cba abc cba dd

Simply write a poem using the form above. The winner of FOS is decided by all Starliters. The Host - Bronze Dragon - presents a new form each week. Challenge ends on May 26th or upon reaching 15 poems entered.

FOS is a voting challenge - please return at the end of the challenge to vote for the poem using the form that you liked best. Any entries not following the form given may be removed by the Host prior to voting.

Thanks, and Have Fun!
