With a heavy heart, I welcome you all to the first Ten Word Challenge without Renee at the helm. As some of you know, this challenge was Renee's baby. She developed this in the early '00's and it has always been her favorite challenge. So this week, we honor her by continuing this challenge! Your poem must use all ten words provided, but this week we're going old school Ten Word and not giving any other restrictions - just speak what's on your heart and mind with the words. Anything goes as long as the poem contains all ten given words. This week's words: compassionate - dedicated - friend – kind – legend - rain – selfless – spirit – talented – trustworthy Words may be used with or by adding or removing -ed, -ing, -ly etc. as long as the root word remains the same. The challenge will close at the date and time above or upon reaching 15 poems posted. Only one poem per poet is allowed in this challenge. Poems that do not meet the criteria set out will be removed before voting. Though not a requirement we encourage each entrant to read the work of others in this challenge and any other challenge he/she might enter
