| Welcome to the FIVE & DIME CHALLENGE! PLEASE READ POSTING GUIDELINES FOR THIS CHALLENGE CAREFULLY!! ONLY ONE POEM IS ALLOWED ON THE PAGE!
Five and Dime you ask?? Yes... the rules are very simple! This is a Starlite voted challenge so be aware that the rules about Hidden poems will apply here as well. If a poem is 'Hidden' it will be removed from the challenge without notice. Also all Starlite criteria apply concerning 'content' and an entry not following these rules will also be removed. Please read the criteria in 'Challenge Policies' and also on poem submission page. Failure to comply could mean removal of poem from challenge. Now on to the rules of this challenge! You will be given 5 (FIVE) specific words to be used in a DIME'S (10) worth of lines! FIVE WORDS in TEN LINES! You are allowed to add a prefix or suffix to the words (exs. un, in, s, es, ed, ly, ing) but words CANNOT be hyphenated as part of another word and they CANNOT be used in a compound word. Nor can you remove a suffix or prefix that is part of the required word given (ex. if the required word is unplanned, you cannot remove the 'un'). The words for this challenge are... and remember ONLY 10 lines of poetry (NO MORE OR NO LESS) are allowed AND they must read as 10 lines! A hint here is if you use large fonts or write longer lines use the 'wide page' option when posting your poem. This way your poem will read as it should as per the rules of this challenge. FRIEND CONFESS THOUGHT BREATH RHYME We are all looking forward to seeing what all our wonderful poets can come up with these words. Your poem can be structured or not, rhymed or not.. as long as it is 10 lines long.. no more or no less! Dazzle us with your wordsmithing skills! Poems that do not use the given words as stated OR use more than 10 lines will become ineligible and will be removed prior to voting!
