Mother's Villanelle

Mother, you are so dear,
you have made life worth living.
Whenever I needed someone, you were here.

I had never known anyone like you. .
because you were so giving.
Mother, you are so dear.

You raised someone else's baby,
you would give me anything you had.
Whenever I needed someone, you were here.

We have always been so close,
you were the only mother I had ever known.
Mother, you are so dear.

I don't know what would have happened if you had not gotten me,
for that I will never be able to repay.
Whenever I needed someone, you were here.

I always want to have you near.
You have done so much.
Mother, you are so dear,
Whenever I needed someone, you were here.
