fingerprint
light the match
burn the inspiration
to start up the gestation
and creation of a perfect tribute
to a memory calibration-
that is,
to properly relate
with a diary's precise recollection
the happenings that make me 'me'
in a rhythmic follow-the-bouncing-dot diction
From first to last
with every word that is spit
and every image that is cast;
I share with the a world a Ghost of my Past
'Cuz you are the sum of your whole
a combination of experience and soul
that to the point of every idea that leaks from your fingers
imprints a part of you and lingers
to tell the story of your one shining glory
of the time you fell, the secrets you can't tell
and all the pains you hide away,
you have to remember that
From first to last
with every word that is spit
and every image that is cast;
I share with the a world a Ghost of my Past
This is the curse of the artist
to bare his soul to the thoughtless
spectators and critics who feel that it's their civic
duty and task to keep our message masked
so that this Disney perfect society
will never see our messages that would leave them smashed
cuz...
From first to last
with every word that is spit
and every image that is cast;
I share with the a world a Ghost of my Past
So I beg and plead to all that feed
their creative urge to release and purge
a piece of yourself to always remember
that kiss in december,or the last burning ember
of passion that was spent on your latest poetic vent
a picture of a long scince burnt out cigarette
-that inspiration spawned from memory invasion-
your work is your child;
and as such will carry style
a piece of you. a spark from your core...
you will always be remembered and always be adored
because
From first to last
with every word that is spit
and every image that is cast;
you share with the world a Ghost of your Past
