Shadows Flee

The flowers may fade,
And birds lose their song;
The stars may not twinkle,
Yet hope lives on.

The sun may not shine,
And the road may be rough;
Strength almost gone,
Yet hope is enough.

Hope needs no proof,
Doesn't need to see;
It trusts in God,
And makes shadows flee.

It makes faith grow strong,
And drives out fear;
It trusts in God's love,
And is always near.
