DREAMS
Once upon a time
Family of five
took a train to another town.
Those days
the trip was exciting.
However what later found
that their Mother's health
was in danger.
Beginning of a new life
and new adventure failed.
In three weeks time
the Mother died
leaving five children behind
half orphans-
their Dad a widower now.
Upon a whisper
of changing winds,
for this young kid’s
life suddenly changed.
One of the children
was accepted to college.
Hardships and loneliness
filled her heart.
Family member death
ruined her future plans.
She wished to pursue
her goals-
miles away from home.
One day her father arrived.
She understood
what all was about:
He needed her.
In the entire distress
me being the side observer
I silently wondered
as the sun descends
shall she continuous
the education
or look after
family members.
With tears in her eyes
soon was heading home.
The sudden death
Shattered the goals
for the future carrier-
dreams failed her.
Her father remarried.
But hunger to proceed
with her plans never ceased.
The wish she prayed for
was granted.
Determination and desire
pushed her hard
to accomplish dreams she had.
Difficult life
did not stop the plans
in obtaining diploma.
Her graduation soon came.
She embraced this wishful event
with a smile on her face.
