What happens when the monotony of the highways starts to drive you insane?
What happens when all you have is what the media says?
Because every value has been sold out in an “ethic” which only betrays?
What happens when individuality becomes hard to find?
What happens when the old ways are not passed on to their kind?
What happens when all that seems to matter is cash?
Because the simple things in life are now considered trash?
What happens when all that seems to matter is some sad fantasy?
What happens when a new generation has no grasp on the old reality?
What happens when you feel you don’t know your own offspring?
Because of their difference to you has such a hollow ring?
What happens when the whole world is turning ever more grey?
What happens when it’s all going to hell no matter what you say?
What happens when your neighbours seem a thousand miles away
Because you never see them monthly never mind day to day?
What happens when big business governs the morality of the many?
What happens when the rich have too much and the poor hardly any?
What happens when greed and envy create ever more waves of crime?
Because they can’t work for a dream life and won't put in the time?
What happens when we all try to grab the last of a reducing resource?
What happens when disputes are settled by shouting ourselves hoarse?
What happens when sickening violence greets us each night on TV?
Because of what this modern life does to you and me?
