Sunset Serenade
Snuggling close, contented
as view romances mind
soft whispers by the seaside
our longing hearts entwine
seagulls hover overhead
eavesdrop, so it seems
ocean hums sweet lullabyes
carried 'pon a breeze
The tender way you tease me
with touch of fingertips
that waken all my senses
from a winter's sleep
our bodies meld together
surrender in retreat
passion filled desire
where love runs ever deep
Erupting like volcanoes
reaching newer heights
finding destination
lead by sultry night
hearts open to renewal
fear within subsides
past hurts
that once held captive
hop the ocean tides
We both have been in love before
have scars from hateful past
