~ Falling Out Of Love ~
People don't fall out of love, they drift...
The day to day tasks and strains of life
cause us to be indifferent of each others needs!
Drifting apart...
is like the earth moving slowly down a mountain...
No one notices until there is a landslide!
You hear people say, in their relationship, they 'Fell out of love'
But you don't fall as in one fell swoop!
You slip one action and one hurt feeling at a time...
The very things that once drew you together
now have become like duties...
It really doesn't matter where it all began!
One of the partners takes a step back...
and this causes the other to hold resentment
Soon, it isn't what each can lovingly do for the other...
It becomes ' I don't need you' 'I will fend for myself!'
This gives way, to turning outward for the needs...
It's not always a conscious decision...
One small step at a time, and soon you have walked away!
It is normal though, to not leave one relationship
until you have found one to replace it...
It has been said ' A bird does not leave one nest
until they have another one feathered!
You have a choice to be honest with your partner...
or you can try to conceal it from them...
Don't fool yourself in thinking they can't tell...
Chances are, what one is feeling, the other is too!
When two people care enough...
they can rediscover each other...
and come to an even deeper love relationship!
So 'Good Luck' to all on your walk through life...
Be careful when you find yourself falling in love...
Loving long takes work!
Drifting apart, happens before you know it!
