One more day
If I had one more day to live today
I would spend some time here at Starlite Cafe
I would write a poem for alittle while
In hopes my poem maybe might make someone smile
I would let other friends here know how much they mean each day
And to tell them they are all beautiful friends and poets today
I would exchange a gift of love packaged with love also too
I would say this is a gift to know over the years how much I love you
I would turn to my gentle poet/friend and my best friend today
I would know my time is running out as he embraces me and says to
My gentle poet/soul mate and best friend I admire your poetry and love you
We would embrace and maybe we would watch the stars so warm and bright
Holding each other in our arms so warm and so tight
Maybe we would just go to town together and have a quick bite to eat
Later on just relaxing by the pond feeling the soft sand upon our feet
Maybe we would just catch up on our lives and how we have been doing too
As my soul mate turns to me lovingly and says my blossom let me just hold you
We would maybe later on watch the stars high above in the skies too
As my soul mate and best friend says blossom that star will always shine for me and you
As the wheels of life keep turning around and around turning
May your heart and my memory on the candle of life keep burning
As I hold my best friends and soul mate's hand tonight
May my memory of my poetry shine inside your heart so warm and so bright
May at times you smile when you read my poems that were comical in the end
And may you always know here at Starlite cafe cherish times when you make a beautiful and special friend
For I know I would feel at peace knowing as a poet I was loved by you all each day
I dedicate this poem to my soul mate and best friend and my friends here at Starlite
