Don't Wear Black

Don’t wear black on the day I die,
wear the colors of God’s blue sky.
Don’t wear tears upon your face
I now am in such a beautiful place.

For my death is only another birth,
I’m back where I was before this earth.
Back in the presence of all I knew
and one day my body will be brand new.

Think of me only with joy and delight
for I am not gone, just out of your sight;
we will meet again I promise we will;
this is not forever, it’s just a small hill.

Don’t wear black on the day I die,
wear the colors of God’s blue sky.
Don’t wear tears upon your face
I now am in such a beautiful place.
