The Limerick Limericks

In May we’re to bonny Limerick bound
And with the Irish I’ve always found
If you’re looking for fun
They shine like the sun
So we’re headed for holy ground

Ireland is known as the emerald isle
And you’re sure to be greeted with a smile
In a landscape of peace
From Mayo to Meath
We’ll journey mile upon mile

No matter the weather you may find there
You have the feeling these are people who care
Warm-hearted they are
Perhaps best by far
So good-natured, wise and fair

So off we go to that blessed place
Of leprechauns, poetry and lace
To spend some time
In peaceful rhyme
With smiles on each happy face
