Quickly Lest I Forget
( Mirrored Trine ~ Double Inverted Trine form )
Memories faded to black
Fantasy's feeling I lack
Replaced by mists of dreams
What could be, was, it seems
Emotions hiding behind a veil of tears
For a love lost these many long years
These poor words on pages I stack
While memories in my mind scream
Alone in the night with my fears
Teardrops into my ink smears
Glittering watery black streams
Again pushes heartbreak back
Into the page my pen spears
Before my mind's eye clears
What could be, was, it seems
Replacing those mists of dreams
Fantasy's feeling again I lack
Memories faded to black

Using two complete trines wherein the second is
inverted or turned upside down.
The trine consists of nine lines - three rhyming couplets
followed by a three-line stanza that links the above couplets
with its rhyme scheme in that the first line of the last stanza
rhymes with the first couplet, the second line rhymes with the
second couplet, and the third line rhymes with the third
couplet. Therefore, the rhyme scheme of the trine is as
follows: aa bb cc abc
