While Dancing
Remember the day when first we danced
Without the need of music to guide us
Round and round we twirled and swayed
In sync to the rhythm of our heartbeats
No boundaries or rules to hold us back
Our hearts felt free to speak their volumes
Trusting that we both needed understanding
Finally realizing the feeling of acceptance
Opening scars from our past memories
Allowing the painful tears to flow free
As we held each other closer than before
Providing the comfort we'd long sought
Notes of sadness and hurt now blended
Creating a harmony we had never known
Dancing endlessly in newfound freedom
We learned to laugh, live and love again
