`small wonders`

Even in the quietest moments
of a misty morning you cannot
hide among the simple or among
the small wonders of life

you can still hear the smallest bird
sing his sweet song in harmony
the gentle raindrops tapping
softly at the window pane

the simple cacoon still
brings us the beautiful butterfly
free to flutter among the
palest pink rose and touch
down upon the smallest blade of
green grass

a catapiller crawls slowly
on a wet golden ground
with autumn's leaves paving
the way

the simple beauty of an ant
busy at work,makes its statement
a worthy one to consider,
to the simplicity of life

oh, to behold the simple and small wonders
is such sweet joy
and the buzzing bee still yields sweet honey
