THE VEIL IS DRAWN
When winter's veil is drawn at last,
When Spring begins to saunter in...
I'm torn between my love of snow
And witnessing the things which grow.
When storing snowshoes in the hall,
When winter's veil is drawn at last...
I feel a tinge of sadness then,
Before the lilacs scent the wind.
I do enjoy the heady blooms
Of roses through my window view,
When winter's veil is drawn at last
And warmer winds are rushing past.
But mountains dressed in lace and white
Will always be my heart's delight!
Forgive me Spring, if I'm not glad
When winter's veil is drawn at last.
