SHANNON WITH LOVE
You wanted me when everyone else didn't.
You forgave all my misguided actions.
You were there for me and my children.
You were the one person who was proud of me.
Although I don't show you all the time.
Maybe at times forgot to let you know.
I love you more than I can ever say.
You are not my mom, but a all I have.
When I was ill you stepped up for my children.
When you needed me I went to help.
My kids think of you as second parent.
Everyone else turned on me, you stayed.
It took me many years to tell you,
Why I was un trusting and ran.
Why even though you gave me love,
I had hard time believing in it.
You never held it against me,
When we talked you were my Mom.
Your love and caring kept me going.
Even now, I think of you often with love.
I respect your strength and wisdom,
I respect your honesty and fortitude.
I respect your kind and loving heart.
I owe you so much for being there.
You taught me all the great lessons,
Forgiveness, charity, and strength.
To love with all my heart, and trust.
Thank you for everything, I love you.
