You Knew Love

Love came
and love went
cruel and deceitful to he...
he's so not content... uncertain and should be
'my love'
love took you to a place
where knowing love again might misplace
so you hold back from her
with only your grace to give
while she your new love
begs you to live
as she gives of her love everyday
she has so much hope... and she prays
Maybe God will show you in time
that some love can be true never blind
for she too has known love so unkind
but once again she swallows her pride
and she gives you her all so very alive
as she writes of loves lost, she tries to retrace
and she prays with her heart in this certain place
asking the angels who swoop to the ground
for only his love... unconditional love...
so profound
angels listen to every whisper on ear
tell him her secrets... he needs to hear
for all of his loves...
'save one'
flew away
and that very one is she... she lays in wait
to hear such words that need fall on her ear
such words she gave freely for he to hear
she watches so closely the fashion of his lips
as she craves the three words that can only give bliss
Those three little words that God gave to this world
are the very three words... he keeps from his girl
Just remember life could be over today
do you say I love you, have you found trusted grace
She craves his I love you's as she dreams of his face
