June 23 is the special day...
Another birthday is here
didn't think I'd see this one
as the doctors said last year
six months is all you have
and then you'll disappear...
O how happy I am
they were wrong
days are getting harder
I'm growing weaker
but with the prayers
of my dear friends
I'm hanging on...
Some days I wish
to close my eyes
in eternal rest and sleep
then I think of those
who'd weep
and I fight a little harder
to hold on...
On my birthday
please help me celebrate
eat ice cream
and your fill of cake
kick your heels
and don't be late...
This party's going strong
hoping it'll last
till dawn
swing from the chandeliers
and have a ball
I'm sending love
to one and all...
You're the best friends
I could have
to me your 10 ft. tall
