'When I get big'
We hear our children say...
All children want to be big!
Always measuring to see who is bigger...
They can't wait until they are grown...
Thinking all the fun is being had by everyone that is bigger and older!
First, it is to go to school...
Oh what fun they will have then...
And, they will be big!
Then,
It's the wait until they are in high school
with the really big kids...
Next,
To learn to drive...
An after school job to earn their own money...
This will bring them more control...
Then to buy that first car...
What freedom will this bring!
The big wait to be a senior...
The hot-shots on campus!
To be eighteen is a major accomplishment...
Now they can be their own boss!
They just can't wait to get out on their own...
Their own job...
Their own money...
Their own car...
Any friends that they please...
No curfew...
No one telling them what to do!
They have finally reached adulthood!
Then...
Reality hits!
They are told what to do by their boss...
They have no money for the things they want...
Every dime goes for necessities...
Can't afford to go out with friends...
Can't stay up too late on work days...
They can't get a good paying job unless they go back to school...
Boy what fun it is to be big!
What's that you say?
You're getting married?
Oh, Yes!
Let the games begin!
