As I glance out the window
Hoping for a sun filled day
My sight becomes blurred now
With tear stained images that sway
Not a day goes by that I don't remember
The you and me as we shared our lives together
Memories afloat like leafs in early September
Joys you brought to me no matter the weather
Wishing you were here beside me
The pain so deep within my heart
Wanting the love as it used to be
Wishing we did not have to part
You gave me a life beyond my dreams
A love of which none other compares
Destiny has dealt it's last card it seems
As it took away the only one cares
Now I must survive on my own
