Get Rid Of The Advertisements

A Spirit Within

I suddenly was awakened
By the sound of fluttering wings
My mind thinking it had been mistaken-ed
Tried to focus on other things

I felt myself being lifted
My feet finding no solid ground
Direction upward was shifted
As my ears slowly could hear the sound

A wonderful song being sung
It's music so enchanting
Making me taste of sweet honey upon my tongue
My sight taking in everything so inviting

When my feet finally touched down
I stood before a magnificent castle
Surrounded by Faeries all around
Before me was a crown upon a pedestal

A charming Faerie stood before me
His wings of sparkle blue and silver
On his face a puzzling expression for me to see
His clothing not that of weaver

As my head made sense of my surroundings
Their language was much more clear
They had found me among their wanderings
Upon my cheek had found the mark of a tear

Within a shining spirit was abiding
One with which each wanted to share
They were to help with taking it from hiding
Sharing it with those who truly care

As I watched ever so intently
They took the crown and place it upon my head
I felt my inner self fill with warmth instantly
No other words were needed to be said

Closing my eyes as my heart soared with their words
Feeling whole within my own soul
My dreams calming, not requiring and swords
Mind, heart and soul becoming a whole

Refreshed I awoke the next morn
Finding upon my dresser a pin
One I know I had never ever worn
Yet a treasure as if given to me by kin
