THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want;
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
Psalm 23

I've experienced life from both sides
I've seen the poverty and the thriving
and been caught between bitter rivalry
I've felt the tones of doves
complement in binary
and the lowly slugs' fie
in poison ivy
Yet I hope my own self-righteousness
not burn too highly
and claim too many lives
or in its growing indignation
turn over-fiery on me
and consume mine
And so before that cast stone
becomes a boulder of total divide
between us and Life
Let's just let it slide
Just let it slide
for of all the forms of Worship
Mercy is the highest
which is why I look to the above Psalm
for comfort and guidance
