Sacred tongues

I ate a nice big red apple today
in the sunshine of a blue sky
and it was so fresh and juicy
and I ate it with my spirit friend

she loves eating red apples
and all things sweet and tasty
when she bites into the apple
the juice sprays everywhere

high in the branches we quietly sat
and spoke to the lovely trees
in the unknown mysterious tongue
we quietly spoke to them

they had so many things to say to us
as we sat and talked and listened
they told us about the skies and stars
and how the forest and hills were made

they know all the secrets of the forest
and speak with the wind and rhyme
we listened to their sacred tongues
and lost ourselves in their love.
