Chocolate cake
I went for a walk in the deep forest
and my spirit friend came with me
We held each others hands
as we listened to the ancient trees
We then stopped by the lovely lake
and had some chocolate cake and tea
My spirit friend loves to eat cake
it’s her favorite after apple and candy
She spoke to me about her long life
as we sat and watched the birds
Her words swam and flowed in the air
and tasted all sugary and rainbowy
The many words she spoke of her life
swam with a happiness and sadness
She had lived in the deep ancient forest
for more than a thousand years
We sat and talked and ate chocolate cake
until the heavenly stars came out to play
We felt the love in the trees and stars
and I held my spirit friend in my arms.
