A FEELING

The wind is blowing
I'm feeling sublime
Somewhat anxious
I've been given a sign.
Wind carrying laughter
Brought to my ears
Caressing all things
Something is near.
The air is electric
Tension abounds
Animals scurrying
They can't be found.
Noises in the distance
Clouds whizzing by
A storm is looming
Better run and hide.
Raindrops are scattered
Rumblings can he heard
It's off in the distance
The quietness, disturbed.
Leaves are rustling
The sky is dark
Lightning flashing
Leaving its mark.
The smell of dirt
Pervades my sense
A downpour is coming
It's about to commence.
A clap of thunder
And then it comes
The downpour has started
Sounds like a drum.
It lasts for awhile
And then it's gone
The quietness returned
But not for long.
