YESTERYEARS...

I woke up one night just to watch you sleep, and I thought to myself it's you I wish I could keep!

Our life together was long and blessed, with ten children, eleven at best! but unfortunately time took three, and left us with only eight to be!
The days have come and gone again, our children have grown to be good women and men!

Now as the day's pass us and we sit here in our chairs, we look at each other and smile at all of our gray hairs!

We talked of all our yesteryear's that has passed us by so fast, and how glade we are to be finally alone at last!

Then one day I awoke, only to find you gone, by my side never again, now I am alone!
but don't worry about me, in God's own arms I'll always be, until that day comes, until I see you again, I'll forever hear your voice, blowing in the wind!

One day in heaven we will again meet, then we'll walk together down that golden street!
