The Time Of The Seasons

In the twilight of a Spring shower-
The light cascades- a pale gold-
Darkening clouds mist the sod-
Leaving behind the winter cold...

~~*~~

Tulips burst from 'neath the earth-
And daffodils and crocus- dance-
T'is the time of the season for living-
T'is the time of the season for romance...!

~~*~~

We embrace the aromatic floral zephrs-
That waft through the cherry-blossomed trees-
We run our fingers through the emerald-green blades-o'-grass-
Mere moments- comes an even quicker-Summer breeze...

~~*~~

Butter-yellow sun rays warm our spirits deep-
While the clear sapphire of the skies- simply gleams-
Wrapping us up in the joy that it brings to us-
Sizzling in the swelter- of the suns heated beams...

~~*~~

Soon the days begin to grow a bit shorter-
And the amber-russet tint comes 'round-
With our first morns crisp air settling-
We know that we are Autumn bound...!

~~*~~

And in the magic of the orange-burnished glow-
Where pumpkins and Harvest Moon beams surround-
We build ourselves a bonfire of dried tangerine- tinted leaves-
Well aware of Falls- first frost upon the ground...

~~*~~

Gone is the Spring/Summer/Fall--morning dew-
As temperatures- now in: ice cicle time-
Winter white now t'is the season we behold-
Starry flakes and snow angels- we find...

~~*~~

T'is the time of the seasons...
T'is the entire year complete-
T'is the time of ones life for living and not just existing...
A new year of living- we so hopefully greet!
