THREAD OF TRUTH

Sleepy Jo will sew...and so
She sews a thread which flows.
It grows in rows with every stitch
She sews both fast and slow.

The light of night is in her sight
And all the world is right.
She sews a garment as it grows
When sleep is no delight.

So fast she sews the thread that's red
Upon her queen-sized bed.
She sews the thread in perfect rows...
For Caroline it's said.

But when she sews the garment flows
From bed to floor to toes,
She wakes to see the light of truth...
She only slept not sewed.

~~~
Dedicated to my dear friend Joy...the budding seamstress!
