I dance and spin and give thanks from a heart within
For eyes that can see, letting the joy flow out of me
I have new eyes to see and it has given me this grin
There was nothing I could do when I could not really see

All the things you created that bring on the joy every day
Have more meaning and are enjoyed each morning when I wake
There is a world to love and a universe in which to play
I want to give you more praise and thanks than the joy that I take.

Close your eyes for a long while unable to see anything
Feel the panic of not knowing where to walk and how to go
Open them wide after a time so you can feel your heart sing
You will discover that your eyes are the door to your soul

Find out how precious the body is when suddenly it is impaired
We never consider how important each part is that is required
We take for granted each part of the body, daily, that we wear
When we are healthy we can do anything that our hearts desire

My eyes can see the glory of the Lord when I praise
I can see you each day, these eyes, a blessing from you
I can see clearly your spectacular creation for all of my days
It makes my heart sing so full of the love I have so true.

I celebrate life this, gift of sight; I now see clearly all my days
I can see to paint pictures and write words of love that I share
I am thankful that I am free to not live in a world of dark haze
You are the Lord that I praise and love because you care

I wish to say thank you to my donor and family
for two new corneas that were transplanted in July 2005.
I am able to see, write , paint and drive again
after being barely able to see for over 20 years.
There are leaves on those trees. Did you know?
There is beauty is each face when you can see it.Did you know?
