Long Lonely Night
My heart beats swiftly
like the rushing wind
I toss and I turn
but it begins again
The night it had started
with slumber so sweet
but has now quickly changed
into fear and defeat
Please say it ain't so
it can't happen again
the fear that I feel
it begins within
when I realize
that you are gone
without a word
you left me alone
How can I face
the night so long
or even rise
with the breaking of dawn
Knowing that you
aren't here with me
how can I face
another night of lonely
