We Shall

We Shall

They shall not enter nor explore
Secret whisper of ever more
Echoing deep within our core
Aching for more, aching for more

The shall not grasp what we behold
‘Neath satin sheets stories told
Love, passion emblazoned and bold
Fortunes foretold, fortunes foretold

They shall not comprehend the way
Belief in truth of yesterday
Still holds us tight in breathless sway
Until our day, until our day

They shall not know our warm embrace
The subtle feel, the gentle grace
In infinite lines we have traced
Upon love’s face, upon love’s face

They shall not catch this rising tide
In which one heart and soul reside
Where our worlds will always collide
Within our tide, within our tide
