Dry my eyes   I have loved .. perhaps not wisely but deeply .. and to this day it pains and haunts me .. and I ... cry ~~~~ I have befriended .. yes naively but devotedly .. and to this day it pains and haunts me .. and I ... ask why ~~~~ I have believed .. maybe foolishly but completely .. and to this day it pains and haunts me .. for they ... have lied ~~~~ and I cry .. from words that cause the heart to die friends who abandon or decry promises made and then denied ~~~~ and I cry .. for a want of revenge fills me .. and I feel dirty ... and I cry ~~~~ and I cry .. Dear Lord .. help me .. let these tears wash away those ghosts .. and too .. this dirt that covers me ... help me to forgive .. so that I may ... love .. trust .. and believe once more ~~~~ Please Lord .. hear these words .. that speak no lies ... grant me that Grace .. that dries these eyes ... heal my soul .. help me forgive ... so I may live .. as You'd have me live ~~~~ . . written for Ruby's FTD challenge using her phrase 'words that speak'' . .
