Winter Wonder

Winter Wonder

Morning light
Shimmers through ice
Crystals hung
Daintily
Framing this moment in a
Chill of silver frost

Day begins
Breathtaking beauty
Forgets chill
Of first touch
Bare fingers ache to caress
Chill of silver frost

Airy kiss
Of powdered magic
Beckons all
To capture
One flake upon tongue to taste
Chill of silver frost

Quiet peace
Pristine sound of calm
Echoes still
Breath escapes
Perfect symphony in
Chill of silver frost

Inhaled scent
Words cannot define
Signifies
Fallen snow
Blankets earth with the scented
Chill of silver frost

Senses peak
As winter's chill falls
Wonderland
Draped in white
Delighted senses rapt in
Chill of silver frost
