Chasing Reason

Chasing Reason

Searching for meaning
In hours, days and seasons
A wild goose chase
For definable reasons

Always wondering
Time keeps passing by
Answers seem elusive
To questions asking why

If life were so simple
Without uncertainty’s kiss
Hope, faith and belief
Would have no reason to exist

There is much in believing
That everything will be alright
There is a calming comfort
In the dawn’s first light

And so I’ll keep on chasing
Confident in hours, days and seasons
Whether I define it or simply believe
Everything in life has a reason
