Upon Her Wings
Between tears and mixed emotions
I try desperately to find the words to say
What it meant to know your loving spirit
When by chance our paths happened to cross ways
Reading your whispers, inspirations upon a page
I feel my sorrows lifted knowing you are Home to stay
Your spirit lives and breathes in words left behind
I hold them close to my heart and feel you guide my way
Loving, caring, spreading the joy of His message
You were our earthen angel with wings unseen
Now my heart rejoices as you spread your wings
Among the angels where your heart has always been
For the time you spent with us was a blessed gift
Held precious, held dear for one day we all take our leave
To return to paradise and hear those whispers first hand
The air that leads to heaven was the only air you could breathe
From where you are watching over us each day
I look with a smile to the sky hear your whispers upon the breeze
Your warmth, your happiness, your smile radiates in the sun’s rays
Your comforting words still linger, your laughter flutters through the trees
I thank you Mama Sonshine for sharing your life with mine
For gracing us with an angel’s ways until your wings ascended to paradise
I shed missing you tears, but know that truly we have both been blessed
I have a beloved guardian angel watching over me forever more
And you are in a better place, healed by the beauty of His grace

Her spirit lives on forever and always. I am so thankful the gift of her words remains here with us. I have to believe that God knew we would need them when it was time for Him toc call her Home. We miss you already Mama Sonshine please know you always will have a place in my heart.
