Jack and Jill - Part 29
(Glasgow Airport – Scotland)
Jack met Jill from the 'plane,
and said as they hugged briefly,
'Great to see you once again,
though for your protection chiefly.'
As they drove off up the road,
Jill asked, 'What have you planned?'
Jack touched the brake and slowed,
and gently squeezed Jill's hand.
'We have to first ensure,
the bad guys see me too.
In the countryside we'll lure,
those who follow into view.'
'Their type will fly across,
and would be on your flight.
This journey is their loss,
they won't leave here alright...'
(Amidst the Highlands)
Just three hours since her flight,
Jill said, 'I'll stay awake,
so breathtaking the sight,
these views I can't forsake.'
Jack said, 'I must explain,
if you see my father...
from acknowledgement refrain,
for now it's what he'd rather.'
'Today it would be wise,
please try Jill to relax.
Dad will be ears and eyes,
assessing sneak attacks.'
Jill sounded quite alarmed,
responding 'bout Jack's dad.
'I wouldn't want him harmed,
he's a decent man...not bad.'
Jack laughed and then explained,
'It isn't such a mess,
like me, my dad was trained,
and served as S.A.S...'
'Whilst I was at the base,
training for selection.
I saw a picture of a face,
so made a close inspection.'
'An instructor said my dad,
had a lion-hearted chest.
In tight spots they were glad,
he was the very best...'
''I've thought about it son,'
dad recently admitted,
I really did have fun...
in that lifestyle I so fitted.''
'Dad said, 'If Jill's in danger,
get her over here.
We'll terminate the stranger,
or a team should it appear.'
Jill's eyes filled as she listened,
she felt so well protected.
Her lovely eyes both glistened,
stay silent she elected.
(The Cairngorm Mountains)
To a cottage in a wood,
Jack drove the four by four.
'It's basic but it's good...'
as he opened the front door.
'Once we're in my dad will scatter,
some defences 'round the place.
What type it doesn't matter,
but you won't see a trace.'
'A mate of his is here,
already in the wood.
A man who knows no fear,
which I think's pretty good.'
'They'll be working as a pair,
sun or moonlight both alert.
If there's anybody there,
they'll know if for a cert'.'
The knowledge that Jack's dad,
was out there in the wood.
Made Jill feel safe and glad,
she relaxed as best she could.
