Our Romantic Night...NOT

It was a cozy snowy evening
on Valentine's day,
my lover and I were enjoying
a delicious dinner for two.
We felt a sense of magical bliss as the music played,
then we exchanged gifts with
each other and remained subdue.

The sparkling bubbles, in our glasses
of champagne was great,
we were giving a toast to each other,
it was all like a dream.
We hugged and kissed and fed
each other another strawberry,
that had been soaking in a bowl
of fresh whipped cream.

Before the evening ended we had
eaten the whole chocolate cake,
and the romance was certainly
headed in the right direction.
This night had been all we could
ever imagine a night could be
everything was going just as we wished,...
it was shere perfection.

Then suddenly we both began to burp,
and explode some gas,
we felt tired and needed to rest
and fell asleep on the couch.
We slept like logs all through
the long night, completely out of it,
our romantic time had been wasted,
we awoke, being such a grouch.
