Helios blazes across the heavens
Leaving blackness in his wake
Yet mankind’s not left in darkness
As the night sky takes its shape
For when the flight of sun is done
The moon goddess takes her wing
Selene radiates immortal beauty
Making lovers long to sing
Through the night she holds vigil
Watching couples take delight
Till Eros rises from oceans edge
As her brother comes in sight
Opens the gate with rosy fingers
Hailing him to enter in
With his chariot and fiery horses
So another day begins
Simplicity – the flight of sun is done
