Many times in our lives
our burdens can become so heavy
that we wonder why.
Often we find it difficult to understand
our Heavenly Father’s ways and we feel as
though we cannot go on without help.
“This life is just a blink of an eye”
is not always the comfort we need.
For all who are hurting...He is
there to comfort you if you
but seek His love....
I know my life is just a blink
in the scheme of all eternity.
But oft I have to wonder why
this burden’s come to me.
I say my prayers and follow Him
who gave me precious breath.
But many mornings I awake
and wish I could find death.
For death would bring me peace again,
And rest from all my trials.
I could lay down the heavy load
I’ve carried all these miles.
It's then I see my daughter’s face
with that smile I hold so dear.
And I know I must keep going
as I fight to hide my tears.
So as I rise in morning’s dawn
I’ll first kneel down to pray.
I’ll plead for love and mercy,
as I face this brand new day.
“Father lift me up once more
for then I’ll make it through.
Give me strength to carry on
this road that leads to You.”
