Dreams Intertwined With Life
Whispers of dreams past
Gently blow across my mind
Wishing I could hold them safely in hand
Yet knowing they have gone beyond reach
Hopes were based upon these dreams
Building a faith they could come true
Living within the dreams no happiness found
Life brought confusion to these illusions
Wonderment in why these dreams were given
Only to reach out and find them fading
Now I awaken knowing they gave me peace
My eyes look upon the new day with realization
They have given me the courage to look upon reality
Taking each day to find my dream within my life
I make the best of each part I could hold on to
Smile with each breath I take absorbing dreams that can be
I fear that I must hold on to even a small reflection of each
Ever careful of destruction when life and dreams collide
Afraid all the pieces would be lost among the dust
