Did I Blink
How is it that time has so quickly passed
was life slipping through my fingers
While the memories are sweet
and the love freshly lingers
Did I blink....
Parents taken before I was ready
Brother and Sister too
Children seem lost
no care of how I do
Did I lose sight... Did I blink....
In this vast world alone
earthly loves have come and gone
Yet the one loved most
why my door never knocked upon
Did my heart lay silent... Did I blink....
Friends have come and gone
yet the cherished always stand long
During the ups and downs
the love and support forever strong
I dare not blink....
As my time draws to an end
I have lost so much from my start
but those I love so dear
will live forever in my heart
Now so afraid to blink....
