Conscience Battle

The personae of selfishness and guilt
whisper, seemingly, from each shoulder
of perfect worlds their perfect selves have built,
temptation to entice ere you're much older.
Can either one convince you of his case?
Be bold my friend, to grapple with the foe.
Heard recently: with favour and God's grace,
farther than the best love man can know,
than anything man's eyes have ever seen,
the length and breadth of all we've been and done;
loudest...almost silent...and in between,
call on Him, Who has the battle won!
To all who would still stand in Jesus' name,
duty means zip to hearts ignited with His flame.
