Bullying

~*~
She was only about five foot tall
One would think a tiny little thing
But she was just as big around
As she was tall, they called her roly-poly
He was red headed and freckle faced
A real shy kinda, quiet kinda guy
One day they knocked him down....
Took a marker and connected the dots
Harmless because it caused no pain
Nothing physical that anyone would see
Yet the scars run deep in the mind
Cruel is the hand that holds the knife
Skinny and scrawny, a geek, a nerd
Parents proud of his accomplishments
Last week he went to his locker and found
His schoolbooks shredded to pieces
She wasn't pretty, in fact, she was homely
But she had a heart as good as gold
The star football player had asked her out
He drove to the city limits and left her there
It couldn't be wrong, they were having fun
They say laughter is the best medicine
If that's true, why were these victims crying
Comedy should never become a tragedy
Bullying is like a disease and if you have it
You're the scourge of the earth and then some
Peer pressure takes the fall but it shouldn't
Don't you have a mind of your own?
You've heard 'what goes round comes round'
What that means, you simplistic idiot
Trust your ways will come back to haunt you
And fear the day you have to answer to God
