Get Rid Of The Advertisements

All That's Left

she never imagined it would turn out this way
a shattered heart to claim her own
the last words he said as he turned his back
echo inside her troubled head

she should have known it might come to this
each day seeming frailer than the last
a love so deep, so beautiful
he took back his heart as he walked away

he betrayed her heart, stealing anothers
her eyes can't disguise the hurt inside
wounded, she builds a wall around her heart
learning not to trust once again

lost, stumbling into an unknown future
a long while and the tears may dry
now only the sun to warm her
only the dark to hide her fears
