Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Twisting open me

Sultry words cut like swords
Through my facade of coolness
Disinterest no longer fills my face
Eager anticipation takes it's place

A finger lightly stroking a neck
Tracing a heart infinitely winding
Around my inner essence once hidden
Twisting open the jar called me

In haste many years went to waste
After the pain knocked me down
An emotional grave with no headstone
Calmed me with a cool darkness

As death took my wife so went my life
Your presence has broken the spell
Cast by shadows of my own creation
Released from the glass I can tell

You are my salvation, a hero unspoken
A lover and friend, who thaws the frozen
Heart the resides deep inside the walls
Built to protect yet did the opposite

Say the words with me you will always be
Forever by each other, never parting ways
That the walls will never go up again
And I will never be without you my friend

May we learn the idiosyncrasies we call us
May we learn to completely let go and trust
In one another interceded by no other
In you I have found my true lover
