The Darkness

At noon time darkness covered the land
and it lasted until about three.
'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani ', He cried.
Not a stir from the cross, all was still; He had died.
They explained the darkness as solar eclipse,
scorning the words which had passed His lips.
Still today, should mans' memory falter,
the temple curtain will not shroud the altar.
The Holiest place will accessible be
that we may be assured of eternity.
