Timeless Tides

In this moment so fleeting, this era so brief
Within which we live and we die
We fall into eternity needing relief
With dread overpowering
our relative cowering
Wearily hauling the lie

Eternally wretched in fear of our shame
Tomorrow the venture is over
With death on the lips of our multiple pains
I feel for the depth
I live like a wretch
Potentiality getting me nowhere

Cast out the bitterness inside the dark
Beligerent now and afraid
Take easy existence and tear it apart
Reach up for the sky
Never think you can fly
From the tide of our time on the waves
